Xbox Controller Randomly Disconnects

Hello everyone. As the title says my controller is randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. I've tried about every trouble shooting method there is. I even tried moving laptops and my cellphone away and its still does the same thing. I'm not that far from
the xbox for it to even disconnect. I even tried different controllers and its still doing the same thing. I'm hoping it isn't my xbox dying out or something. I know for sure I didn't register neither my controller or my xbox . My batteries are at full power
and I've even swapped them out for the rechargeable pack and still disconnects. Is this just a bug in the xbox or an actual problem within the console? I've read up forums and such to find that even with the console fix it still has this problem. I'm really
dreading to even think how much it will cost for this. Is it still too late for me to register?

The controller I have is the Xbox One White Wireless Controller

Problem with controller

Both of my controllers are also disconnecting randomly

FIFA is the main game affected suffered 10 disconnects in one half!

I do have my xbox in the next room so not sure what the range of the controllers are

Same problem here.. Xb1 S controller randomly disconnects, original xbox one controller has no issues with xb1 S console...

 

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?

If you've already done that then please try again but this time, when the console is off, unplug everything from it and let it sit for at least 5 minutes.

 

thanks a lot for answering. But hard resetting and unplugging does what to the console?

 

It clears the cache and memory of the console which may be causing this issue.

 

I have the same problem. I've tried the above recommendation but that didn't help. Are you part of the preview program? I'm thinking up reformatting my xbox drive to factor and taking off the preview program to see if this helps me. I've been in the
preview program since 360 days but having a controller disconnect on fresh batteries and 5 feet from the Xbox is something I can't live with.

 

If you're in the preview program simply reformatting the console won't work. You'll need to go to the preview app and remove the console from the program.
