Xbox controller problems

So my controller's home X button is broken after 5 months of light use, cannot turn the controller on at all no matter what i try. Never dropped it, spilled anything or did anything bad to the controller at all. But guess what, the LEAST USED button on the
damn controller broke after 5 months of light use and good care. Like what is this, microsoft? It is as if the controllers are built to break! All the buttons on the xbox one controller are firm and crisp out of the box, except for the home X button, where
that button moves around in its own little space going back and forth as your finger touches it, the button press itself is not crisp at all, most times you cannot tell that the X button has been pressed all the way until the controller lights up and xbox
turns on. The X button is clearly made to break, cause there is no way in heck that the least used button on the controller completely breaks before the other buttons, that i press probably hundreds of times each time i play. Nice to know that Microsoft is
dedicated to making such high quality pieces of technology (54% of xbox 360's had the red ring of death at one point in their lives), they must really care about customer satisfaction...

And no problems.

Bought an Xbox 360 controller mostly every year because of thumbsticks deadzone problems.

So for me,the choice is easy.

However, it doesn't really seem like a HUGE issue. I don't think it would really be worth your valuable time to have it repaired/replaced by Microsoft. Most major retailers such as Walmart and Target do returns/exchanges without receipts. That being said
throw them a call and just ask if they can help you out.

It's a pretty big wait/effort you can remove from yourself by doing so. You can get the controller instantly (as opposed to 2-3 weeks, or more). You don't have to make a run to the postal office to ship the darn thing. Also, you don't run the chance of them
missing an issue during the repair.

Ok, now that you've got down from your soap box and had your little rant, lets just say one thing. YOU CAN TAKE THE CONTROLLER BACK TO THE SELLER AND GET IT REPLACED.

There we go, easy as that.

Seriously, do you expect every piece of electronics to be 100% all of the time, if you do then your delusional. Every company in the electronics industry has problems, look at the mighty Apple and all the problems they have had with the various iterations
of the iPhone.

Heck Ferrari made a car a few years back where the glue holding the wheel arch line up would melt and drop the liner onto the hot exhaust.

i had contacted support and they said the warranty for a controller is only 3 months and that i would have to buy a new one or get this one fixed. Walmart will give me a new controller in place of the one that broke?
