    Xbox controller not working properly.


    Okay, so basically, I hooked my Xbox up to a different TV. The TV is quite old, probably about 10 years or so, but my Xbox is only about 3 and a half years old. My controller is brand new, I just got it a few weeks ago. The A, Y, Menu, and Pause buttons don't work. I can use both the D-pad ad analog sticks to move up and down, but when I try to move side to side, it goes over and then quickly returns to its original place. I can't use either of the bumpers as well.

    Hi,

    Is there any physical damage done to your controller? If so you might have to request a repair.

    Also, is your controller up to date? Is this happening to more than one of your controllers? If so try power cycling your console.

    Replace the batteries or recharge the battery pack

    • Do one of the following:
    1. Insert fresh AA batteries.
    And if this does not fix it I would take it back to the retailer for a replacement. Sounds like you have a faulty controller...
