    xbox controller not working in app when streaming only


    hi all

    I was streaming to my windows 10 laptop as per usual playing the destiny 2 beta today when the app crashed. Since then, I have been unable to get my controller to do anything once the xbox is streaming. Windows recognizes the controller, I have uninstalled
    and reinstalled the controller and drivers, and the controller actually works within the xbox app - I can move around and select the trophies, messages, etc. But once the xbox starts streaming the controller does nothing, not even the windows button works.
    Sometimes it will start streaming and I will have the ability to move the cursor on the top bar of the window of the stream. I am at a loss now as I have gone thru all steps as described online. nothing seems to work. I have tried other cables of course. I
    have not tried another xbox controller as I do not have another with me. I have rebooted the xbox as well.

    Same issue here. I have four controllers all working in Windows 10 and can navigate in the xbox app, but as soon as streaming starts, only one controller is usable.

    Xbox app streaming not (any longer) supports two controllers ?

    I am connecting two Xbox one wireless controllers through an Xbox Wireless Adapter to a Windows 10 PC, and always playing my Xbox one console games on Win 10 by streaming, and those all went right and smooth, until the recent updates.

    Now, with the latest updates of both the Xbox one console firmware ( 10.0.15063.3054/rs2_release_xbox_1705.170512-1759 ) and the Xbox App ( 29.29.17002.00000 ), only one ( the first working one when streaming starts ) controller is usable in streaming. No
    matter in the home page or in game, only one controller is recognized by the console.

    The two controllers are the original first gen Xbox one controllers (without 3.5mm jacks), both individually properly recognized by Windows 10 ( Win 10 Pro 1703/15063.296 ) and works well, even inside the Xbox app itself, except streaming.

    Any suggestions?

    How can I Charge Controller on Win 10 PC but still play on my Xbox One?

    When a cord is connected to the Xbox One controller it turns off the wireless function to work as a wired controller. Because of this the suggestion of using a USB wall charger
    WILL NOT work.

    The only way that you can use your Xbox One Controller on a W10 PC and play Xbox whilst charging the controller at the same time is to stream the game to your PC with the Xbox App if your PC meets the minimum requirements for it. If you don't want to do
    this then the only thing to do is just connect a USB directly from your Xbox to your controller

    Disconnecting from xbox every 30 seconds

    I'm having the same issue as Dana and the streaming works find for up to 20 minutes, and then my controller becomes unresponsive, regardless of the fact if it's plugged in or wirelessly connected. The controller only works fine if I cancel streaming and
    start again but once I do that it keeps disconnecting and the test says its not connected even though I can hear the audio playing. Also on top of this, if I still attempt to play the app eventually doesn't load the stream, and after hitting stream, it crashes.
    The app doesn't work properly again until I restart both, my pc and xbox.
