Xbox controller not connecting to windows 10 via USB

    Hello everyone,

I have an old xbox one controller that doesn't have bluetooth and I figured I could play on my Windows 10 PC with it. I plug the controller in and click the xbox button to turn the pad on, and all it does is flash for a few seconds then go off. I've tried
updating all of my drivers and looked in my device manager and it doesn't pop up anywhere. It doesn't make a sound when I plug it in either or search for drivers automatically. Can anyone please tell me how to get it working as it does turn on, it just doesn't
    connect.

    All help is appreciated.

    :)

    XBOX accessories issue

    Hi,

The Xbox One Wireless Controller can be used to play Xbox games on your PC when connected via micro-USB cable or a wireless USB adapter. To properly isolate your concern, please provide us the following information:

    • Are you trying to use an Xbox Elite Controller?
    • Are you using a micro-USB or a wireless USB adapter to connect the controller to your PC?
    • Do you receive the same message when using the controller on the Xbox App?
    • Have you installed the drivers for the controllers on your Windows 10 PC?

In the meantime, we suggest that you connect the controller via Bluetooth by following the steps on this

    link
to check if the issue is with the controller or the configuration settings on your computer.

Xbox One Controller - doesn't update via USB cable on Windows 10

This page has the detail on how to update your controller on Windows 10: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/accessories/how-to-update-xbox-one-controller-windows-10

You shouldn't need to click the connect button on the controller, just plugging it in via USB should be enough to recognize it by the computer and be able to update through the Accessories app.

Xbox One controller turn off when I press the bluetooth button (PC and Steam Link)

Yes, I'm trying to connect my controller via Bluetooth on my Windows 10 PC (It worked before yesterday). When I connect my controller via USB Cable it works fine.

The XBox Button flashing slowly when it's turn on. When I press the sync button to connect via Bluetooth, the XBox Button flashes for 1 second and the controller turn off.

Controller xbox one non si associa e console non si connette [Translation-Xbox one controller does not associate and console does not connect]

There might be an issue with your controller. Try to connect another one or a keyboard to any of the USB ports on the Xbox One, by doing this you will be able to check if the console is the problem or the controller is. Also you could connect the controller
via USB to a Windows 10 PC and check if the controller work properly. Hope it helps to clear some doubts.

Accessory compatibility with new Wireless Bluetooth Controller on Windows 10

    Hey there MattheadPlus!

If you're connecting your controller via Bluetooth then you wouldn't be able use a headset through your Xbox One controller. For more information on what's support via Bluetooth check out this

. If you haven't already, give a direct wired USB connection a try to see if you're able to use your headset again.
