XBox Controller no longer working wirelessly on PC Gamepass Online

There are several things you can try to fix the Xbox controller disconnecting when you launch an Xbox Online game through an Edge browser:

Check that your Xbox controller is updated with the latest firmware version. You can do this by connecting the controller to your Xbox console and then going to Settings > Devices & Connections > Controllers & Headsets.
Check that your PC is running the latest version of Windows.

You can do this by opening Settings > Update & security > Check for updates.

Check that your Edge browser is updated. You can do this by opening the Edge browser and then going to Settings > Help & Feedback > About Microsoft Edge.

Turn off the power saving feature on your Xbox controller. You can do this by pressing the Xbox button on the controller for 10 seconds to turn it off.

Then, turn it back on and press and hold the Xbox button and the Home button for 3 seconds to open the controller settings. Deactivate the "Energy Saving" function.

Reset your Xbox controller. You can do this by pressing the Xbox button on the controller for 10 seconds to turn it off.

Then, turn it back on and press and hold the Xbox button and the Home button for 3 seconds to open the controller settings. Select "Restart."

When a message appears asking you to connect a compatible controller, you can turn the controller back on, it will reconnect for a moment and then disconnect again.
It does this only while the XBox Online web tab is in focus, and if I close the web browser and return to Windows, I can reconnect the controller.
