Xbox controller needs to be paired again after shutdown

It was not a factory reset, it was a full shutdown, I have also tried to pair the controller with another xbox, it does not pair plugged in or wirelessly. I do not currently have a working computer to try and connect to. The only apparent functionality is the ability to power itself, and the console on.. After that nothing responds

The controller connects and works normally.

The issue is when I restart it.

after turn it off and on again, it still shows are "paired" in the windows devices, but it don't syncronizes anymore.
I need to remove it from there and pair again.

Joe, I have solved this issue. Go here: https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/xbox-accessories/9NBLGGH30XJ3 and download XBOX accessories app. Then with a USB type C, which is what I use for my Samsung phone, connect your controller to your PC/laptop and open the app. The app will notify you that you need to update your controller. After the update I deleted all pairings between the controller and TV and started a new pair. At first the TV would recognize the controllers and give the message "need pairing" but the TV wouldn’t pair the controller. I did a hard reboot on the controller and a reboot of the TV and paired again and voil there was the controller paired to XBOX. I hope this works for you

When the controller is dead I can't get my 2nd fully charged controller to work. Doesn't pair except to shutdown the controller or the whole console option. Very annoying

Unnistalled the controller, no luck.

Plug an play does not have the unnistall option, only update drivers which does not do anything because it already has the most recent drivers:





The adapter is compatible with the controller, i was able to use it yesterday after doing all the same steps, it wasn't finding the controller but after a few troubleshoots runs and restarts it showed, worked for all time until i shutdown the pc. Today the controller was showing as paired but didn't worked so i removed the pairing to try everything again but now its not even showing anymore
