Xbox Controller Needs Repair

A while back, I received a special, personalised Xbox One Controller (and a game) from a person I once was friends with; this person I believe is, or was, a Microsoft Employee in Vancouver, Canada.

A series of unfortunate events then occurred not too long after; one of such unfortunate events being that my Xbox Controller's buttons became gummed up with soft beverage syrup, and so the buttons don't press down properly anymore. We (my roommate and I)
have tried asking the Original Gifter of my Controller for help and advice on how to repair it, only for it to prove fruitless; the Alleged Employee in question not only refused to provide assistance, but also provided a false link to a website, claiming that
it was the #1 place for such repair tools. On top of all that, this Alleged Employee has been completely refusing any sort of Acknowledgement whatsoever, and any such attempts to make contact are met with a Threat of Litigation from this person.

Because of this, I cannot play games on my Xbox One, and the Former Friends I have been asking for help, are refusing to do so. I want to have this Controller cleaned up and repaired, so that I can start using my own again and return my Roommate's Controller
that I have been borrowing.

Depending on the build there are some great YouTube videos on how to remove The top casing as to clean and replace, do remember if you do go That Route it will void any or all warranties you have on the controller but a little cleaning my do it good

your Xbox One wireless controller. If that fails you can try to Request an Xbox controller replacement. Give it a try and let us know how it
goes.

You can fill out a replacement form to have Microsoft replace it (if it's still under warranty it would be free) https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/controllers/controller-warranty

Microsoft does not repair controllers since it is cheaper to replace them.

You can't register the controller. You'll need to contact Xbox Support. Make sure you have a copy of your receipt.

There are no repairs done for the controller, only replacements.

If Xbox Support creates a repair order for the controller you'll have to pay for shipping to send your controller into the repair center.

You'll need to contact Xbox Support by phone or chat to see if the controller is available for replacement. There isn't a "repair" option for the controller.

If it is available for replacement, you will need to cover the cost for shipping to the repair center. No shipping label will be provided.
