Xbox controller multiple pairing

Tried with multiple cables, unable to control Xbox without the controllers pairing. Only solution I’ve found is unplugging and hard resetting the Xbox multiple times and just getting lucky hoping it doesn’t happen again. No Microsoft response has helped, just an upsetting Xbox bug

With your query, yes, you can use the Xbox Wireless Adapter on multiple devices, but you will need to re-pair the controller each time you switch between devices. The adapter will not remember the pairing information for the controller. To pair the controller with the adapter on a new device, simply press and hold the pairing button on the adapter until the light starts flashing, then press and hold the pairing button on the controller until it connects to the adapter.

I think you will find it's not a controller issue but a console issue. I have tried multiple controllers and none of them will stay paired. It''s more likely a bad radio in the console than multiple bad radios in the controllers. I am waiting on my replacement
console and see if that solves the problem.

Oh, if your other Xbox is that far away then this is not trying to connect to that console but rather the connection or pairing on your main console is not stable from the controller. Dropping it multiple times could cause that problem and if that is a hardware issue, that would lead to a repair but for as long as the controller still works and can still sync with your Xbox console, you do not have to do that but you just need to constantly pair it every time you turn it on.

i've reset it before and this doesn't help fix it because i'm having troubles with the sync button on the actual xbox controller and not the console. when i press the button on the controller it doesn't start pairing and does nothing at all. i've even tried restarting the controller multiple times but it hasn't worked.
