Xbox controller light on but not connected to anything

Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

In this case, you may need to perform an extended power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Unplug your console for 5 minutes.

3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

Still no success. I press the connect button on the controllers and they search, but still when I press the connect button on the console nothing happens. I press it, press and hold, repeatedly tap it and nothing happens. The lights don't light up or
spin or anything to indicate that it is searching for controllers

the controller light blinks, the console light does not, but it does not even connect to xbox live, it is as if it were locked.
The console and controllers should be updated

Same problem here on one of my controllers. Connect it via USB and it works fine. XBOX button lights up solid like it is connected, but only XBOX Home button works and console responds like I want to turn it off but the joysticks won't move to select anything.

To help clarify, Are you using a 3rd party Micro USB cable to connect your Xbox One Wireless controller?

It solved it, i don't have anything to charge, so it would be weird if it did.

Does it charge AA batteries?
