Xbox Controller Left Stick Always Going Forward

My Xbox controller left stick is usually registering as if it's being pushed forward even when the controller is lying flat and untouched. I called Microsoft and they said the warranty expired last month and they won't repair or replace the controller. It breaking one month after the warranty expires then denying me a repair or replacement is predatory. Does anyone have a way I could try and fix it myself?

I've run the calibration on the Xbox accessories app and the problem remains. The app also shows the issue as it registers the stick being pushed forward when I'm not touching it.

Unfortunately, if the warranty has already expired, Microsoft cannot offer free repair or replacement. As an advisor, I also have no control over warranty policies or repair coverage.

My Recommendation:

- I suggest taking the controller to a technician who specializes in Xbox controllers, since the issue you described seems to be related to stick drift (wear on the analog module).

- You can also look for reliable tutorials if you have technical knowledge and want to try fixing it yourself just proceed with caution. (If you are not confident enough to do it yourself, it is better to take it to a technician)

same problem my xbox one controller left stick keeps going forward and i have to controllers

I've went through maybe 5 Xbox 360 controllers, and it happened to always be the left analog stick for me. I'm going to dread it when I get an Xbox One and the controller starts going on me.

We have 3 X1 controllers drift forward between me and my son, all left stick drift forward. Pretty sure it's from playing games where sprint is assigned to the left stick. The army camo controller only lasted about a month. Strange thing is, my day one 2013
controller is still fine.

Anyway, I use to get through 360 controllers at a similar rate, only difference was the left sticks drifted left on those.

Left stick? Every single controller I have has that exact same problem on the right one. Anyway they are very fragile and RB/LB and the sticks are always going to be brokenn.
