Xbox controller, Left joystick

I have a problem with my wire xbox one controller and it is that form left joystick, if in a video game when you push the joystick all the way up or down characters will run. In my controller doing that will just have characters walk slowly as if I was pushing
up the joystick halfway through which is how you walk in some video games.For example, when playing resident evil1 , if i use my left joystick to move around jill will always be walking, instead of automatically running and the only way she can run is if i
switch my controls to the original one which calls for pressing x to run. This happens with all my other games where basically all my characters do is walk instead of running or performing the normal speed. Is there a reason why this is caused and is there
a solution?

Xbox one controller left joystick

I am convinced that if the X1/360 controllers were a sealed system, that controller drift would be reduced by 50%.

How?

1) Gaskets sealing all along the 2 main pieces of the shell.

2) Ribbed rubberized boots for the joy sticks.

Both will help prevent particals building up and effecting the potiamature settings on the controllers.

Boots such as you will find covering your shifter in cars with manual transmissions.

Should MS impliment said designs in future controllers, I want 25% of the retail cost, for each and every unit (controller) sold.

For controller drift caused by other factures such as abuse. Well, nothing I aware of will help prevent that.

I have a new adaptive controller and have the adaptive joystick plugged into the usb on the left side of the adaptive controller, yet the joystick will not control the left thumbstick in any direction. This is my 2nd adaptive controller keyboard and
first joystick ( first thought pads on adaptive controller were touch pads). I’m hoping someone else has had this issue and is an easy fix. I turn the adaptive controller on first, then my regular controller. I’m praying this is not a second return of the
adaptive controller or a first of the joystick.

I left my xbox unplugged all night, just turned it on with the controller and still not recognizing the right joystick.

My thumb lays naturally towards the xbox Dpad not the joystick, plus the xbox controller is almost to small for my hands so I have to roll my thumb forward to even get to the joystick on the left side. The playstation controller is thicker and and wider which fits my hand size better. So my thumbs rest more naturally with its joysticks.

I have this problem with both of my xbox one wireless controllers, particularly the left joystick and one also has a problem with the right joystick. The thing is, I hardly ever play games on my xbox one. I thought I was just crappy at all the games until
I started to fill out forms using the controller and would do left joystick and watch the highlighted letter on the alphabet screen light up once to the left and then quickly go back or down.

The joysticks are a mess and M$ has no way to report the problem or get it fixed, as far as I've been able to do. You go to the repair page, enter "controller joystick malfunction" and it gives me 2 options: 1. test console network connectivity or 2. send
in the kinect module for replacement.

WTF? FU M$.
