    Xbox controller keeps disconnecting from Windows 10


    I recently purchased an Xbox One wireless controller last week and connected it to my laptop via Bluetooth. However, I found that it keeps disconnecting every few minutes for about 10 seconds and then the connection is restored. When this happens, sometimes the Xbox logo on the controller flashes, and the windows disconnect sound plays. I have tried updating the firmware through the Xbox accessories app, but this had no effect. I also disconnected all other Bluetooth devices from my computer including my wireless headphones and mouse, but none of these helped. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this issue?

    So I have found a solution to this problem. I think there is something wrong with the drivers that is causing this issue. I fixed it by adding the game to Steam as a non-Steam game. Now, I just need to launch the game through there and everything works fine.

    I have tried all of the steps in the first link, but the issue still persists. I am unable to find the section in the Xbox Accessories app that allows me to revert the firmware. Clicking the "Check your controller's firmware" button just sends me to the homepage of the app. How should I fix this?

    Do other accessories work fine in those USB slots?

    How old is the computer? What motherboard do you have? Just wondering if maybe you need an update as motherboards do get firmware updates form time to time
