xbox controller - keeps breaking & headset does not work

Dear Microsoft & Users.

I am quite disappointed with the xbox one original controllers.

The two controllers worked perhaps 2 weeks from when i purchased my xbox one, then the headset stopped working, i purchased 4 different headsets, all with xbox compatibility, and none of them worked.

i have chatted to support agents for hours, and in the end the only thing that sorted my problem, was to replace both my controllers.

I sent them in one by one, so that my son at least had one controller at home to use, while the other one was being sent to Germany for replacement.

So i sent the first one in, and got replacement, this took almost a month! , my son was very happy when the first controller came back.

So i sent the second controller back this week.

However, the first replacement controller has now also stopped working again.

What is up with the quality of these controllers?, once warranty runs out, i cannot afford to fork out $60 ever 14 days to buy a new controller!

Please sort this problem out!

Try
Setting up a headset adapter. Also
Update your controller firmware
again.

The USB method is my preference.

Update Every controller one after the other to make sure they're all done.

Hi mrpg99.

Your controller should have a recurring problem because I've never had a problem with my Xbox One generation controllers. I still have them on and no worries except normal wear after so many years.

Firmware is the latest, and i have the later version of the controllers without the headset adapter.

I have chatted to ms support for hours regarding this, and its a hardware fault with my controllers.

the point of the post is :

1 Yes, the controller can be replaced by MS under warranty

BUT

2 What happens after warranty? am i expected to purchase a new controller ever 14 days because of poor quality?

Unfortunately, it sounds like you got faulty controllers. I have had the same controls for years and haven't had issues. They are high quality imo. I suggest getting ahold of customer service again.

I am sorry to be experiencing this problem, lately I am seeing a lot of complaints about the controls which is strange because I have 4 years control of one fat, and one of one S for 3, and are in perfect condition, unfortunately what If the only thing
to do is to use the warranty since Microsoft gives you this support, I hope you can definitely solve your problem and your child plays hassle free, good luck!
