XBOX controller is not recognised by XBOX cloud gaming.

I have an XBOX wireless controller connected via bluetooth to my laptop (status connected). It has been working for other games with no issues. However when I am trying to start Fortnite in Xbox cloud gaming I always get the same message that there is no controller detected. I have tried to disconnect and connect again or restart my laptop or remove the device completely and reinstall. I still have the same issue.
