Xbox controller is being weird with Bluetooth

So i wanted to test what you just told me, and just like you. Big Picture Mode for Steam worked just fine so that does mean we are dealing with the same issue. So thank you for that. I tried doing what you told me and I did get it to "pair" with my laptop but now my controller won't stop flashing either. I hope this gets fixed soon

There was just an update for my xbox controller and yet its still broken, has it improved for you at all?

I believe were having the same issue, and it's most defiantly the update at fault. It's odd because the controller works fine on Xbox (probably because it's not using Bluetooth) but it also work fine on my android phone, so what I'm guessing is that it has something to do with windows 10 and the update to the controllers. I'm still trying new things so se if I can find a work around but here's what I know so far.

• The controller works fine on steam big picture mode.
  
• In the Bluetooth setting it no longer says input under the devise name but displays battery percentage (though I think its giving the wrong percentage)
  
• You defiantly want it on connected and not paired.
  
• Android devises are unaffected.
  
• Before the update the controller was not on low energy Bluetooth (Bluetooth LE) devise.
  
• Looking at the drivers on Devise Manager the latest driver is dated as 2006-06-21, before it was 2021-XX-XX ( I forgot the month and day)
  
• If you were to inspect the controller in the Control Panel under Devises and Printer tab, in the Services tab it used to say "Bluetooth Input Devise" now nothing
  

Ok well, it has even gotten weirder. Ok so I tested out a second newer controller which was specifically made for Bluetooth and just like before it connected but nothing happened. But something odd is happening, I tested out while playing a game to see if anything will change. Here the thing, just like before I couldn't move or anything. But you know how some games will change their prompts for what key you need to it depending on if it can tell if you are using a controller or a keyboard. Yeah it first shows a keyboard button, but then i tapped a button on the Xbox controller, and the prompt changed from a keyboard button to xbox buttons. Meaning yes my laptop is 100% recognizing that my Xbox controller is there, to the point games are recognizing that. But still it won't let move and I am trying to figure out whether this is an controller issue or an laptop issue
