Xbox Controller Glitch

My Xbox series x controller started glitching out of nowhere. It's brand new and I cannot press any buttons and the analogs don't work. The D pad is stuck on down and it keeps scrolling forever. If I try to press up on the D pad it automatically goes back down. My xbox says the remote is connected to a power source but it is not. Again, this remote is new and it just happened out of no where. I tried everything but I cannot fix it. I tried to revert the software and it wont even find the controller. Please help.

How it went with the phone? Your controller worked just fine or the issue persists?

Yes, I tried power cycling and reseting my xbox and everything else you mentioned.

Please try pairing the controller with your phone.

In the meantime, may I know if you tried power cycling your console to see if everything backs to normal?

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.

Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Hello,

I have no tried to connect it to my phone and I don't have a PC.

Plus, it says it's connected through a power supply when it's not. I couldn't revert the firmware because it says it's connected to a power supply, and then when I actually connect it, my xbox tells me that two devices can't be connected at once (even though there's only one controller connected).

The controller has been glitching so hard that it's impossible to navigate anything on my xbox. This happened out of no where. The controller has not been dropped nor tampered with.

In order to isolate a bit more the issue:

Are you able to test the controller with a different device? (Pairing it with your phone, another console, PC)
Is this happening with the controller connected via cable and wirelessly?

And, besides trying reverting the firmware. What else did you tried?
In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed
