  1. Xbox controller firmware corrupted

Hi everyone, I'm in the Beta insider program. Recently my controller's firmware got updated to firmware 5.11.3115.0 Later the battery from Play & Charge Kit of Series X stopped charging and the controller doesn't get recognized by Xbox Accessories App on PC. Basically everytime I connect the Usb-C it says "Controller connected" instead of "Controller Charging". Any idea on how to rollback firmware or making a controller Factory reset ? Thanks!

Xbox Series X controller freezing randomly (PC)

Is there any way to rollback the firmware on the actual controller without a console? I believe the actual firmware on the controller is corrupted, as I tried everything I could in terms of software. The Xbox Accessories app only has an option to update, which there is no update available. Can't get it repaired because even though the controller is pretty new, the warranty expired.

Xbox One controller for windows Firmware corrupt !

Hey guys I am german and thought i would report my problems to the support so i started writing down my problem:

    <german>

    Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

Oben) in ruhiger Geschwindigkeit.

Was soll ich nun tun ?
Vielen Dank.

Meine Daten des Rechners sind im Anhang.

Xbox One controller for windows Firmware corrupt !

I had no problem with the Xbox Accessory App, I followed all steps and got it to work perfectly (for both Bluetooth and USB). Then it just, I don't know, stopped working for Bluetooth?

The controller appears in "Bluetooth" devices when I press the Bind button, I can begin pairing it, it connects about 5%, but then the controller just keeps blinking and I get a message on the Computer (in the "Bluetooth" settings) akin to "Driver Error" or
"Driver Malfunction" (It's in Swedish, so I don't know if that's the exact translation).

Also, every time I'm connecting with Bluetooth, a driver installation begins (for some reason, it didn't do that before).

Anyways, I've found one thing that might be a bit of a breakthrough(?) that might help Microsoft Support, and might help others with similar problem.

I checked my Device Manager to see what appeared when I started the controller with Bluetooth:

    1) Under "Bluetooth: Xbox Wireless Controller"

    2) Under "HID (Human Interface Devices): Bluetooth XINPUT compatible input device"

Just to compare, with USB, these two appear:

    1) "HID (Human Interface Devices): XINPUT compatible HID device"

    2) "Xbox Peripherals: Xbox Controller"

Now, the 2nd has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it, and I know that's usually not good. Checking the properties of the HID entry I see these:

"This device can not start. (Code 10)"

    and

    "{Incorrect address range}"

And I'm thinking "This has to be the bad guy! Now... how do I solve it?". I mean, it wasn't in the incorrect address range when it was working, so what changed?

I've hit a wall over at Google, maybe you've got an answer, Microsoft?

Xbox One controller for windows Firmware corrupt !

I have the same exact issue. Went through the update process in the xbox accessory app which failed before the end. Now when I plug the controller into Windows it shows up in device manager but doesn't work at all. Can't even attempt the update process again
since the xbox accessory app tells me that there's no controller connected. I spent an hour online with xbox support and the best option they gave me was take it to a friend's place who has an xbox one console. This is not a viable solution. I purchased this
less then half a year ago and it's already not supported according to them even though it was working perfectly before running the update microsoft suggested themselves.

Xbox One controller for windows Firmware corrupt !

Exact same issue. Plugged in my controller for the first time and it worked great. Decided to download Xbox Accessories because it was suggested by Microsoft for updating drivers and after installing the latest driver it's not working. My computer recognises
its existence (it shows up as 'controller' on devices) but it either doesn't work completely, or only registers a couple of buttons (no analog sticks, no triggers).

I don't have access to an xbox to try Phillybays' suggestion and have tried so many different ways to rollback/uninstall the drivers but that doesn't seem to work.

Drivers need to be fixed, simple as that. And it's really frustrating that there is no possible work around other than that or installing drivers with an xbox one.
