Xbox controller does not connect to the xbox after connecting to PC (tried other suggestions)

Yesterday I successfully connected my wireless xbox elite controller to my PC to stream and it worked fine. I am now trying to reconnect and finding that my Xbox (not the controller) makes no attempt to reconnect. I press the button on the xbox and the light
DOESN'T flash, when i do so on the controller the controllers light does flash. I have tried with my other controller and it refuses as well. I must stress that when i press the sync button on the xbox NOTHING happens. Yesterday the both controllers where
connected to the xbox and working fine, now neither will connect. What should I do?

Xbox One Controller will no longer work with Xbox One

I downloaded the Xbox One controller PC Drivers, and now my Xbox One controller will not work with my Xbox One. I've tried the connecting it again with the connect button on the controller as well as connecting the USB to Micro-USB cable to the Xbox.

XBOX ONE CONTROLLER SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING ON WINDOWS 10 PC

My XBox One Controller has always worked on my Windows 10 PC until today. I've tried two controller and several different USB cables. The controller does not light up. When I tried the Accessory App, it says to connect a controller. When I press the Xbox
button, it blinks and then goes dark. Any suggestions?

Hey there ShutWarrior -

What happens if you connect your controller to your console via USB cable? That should force a sync between the two. Also, try

power cycling your console - hopefully that refreshes your console and makes your sync button work again. If you're still having issues, do you have a friend nearby that has an Xbox One? If so, can you try syncing your controllers to that console to see
if that helps?

I tried connecting via a usb cable but the light on the controller just flashed for a bit then turned of.

After having turned it off and on again a few times (trying again after each time) they re-synced however i won't be using the remote stream again seeming as it can only work on the same network and was such a pain to get the controller to work again.

Hi, have you tried leaving the controller connected to the usb and see if it disconnects after so long while connected using that?

It does sound like it could be the console that does need returning..... also one silly thing to try maybe is if others have suggested other devices could be affecting it then try the xbox and controllers in another location that has power, ie a friends
house so that its not connected to any wifi or no pc around for the controllers to be paired with.

Thanks for the tips. I did find that site on my own and none of the suggestions have helped.

Unfortunately, it just isn't acknowledged as being connected by anything other than the device manager. I do not receive any error messages.

I guess the controller is just broken? I'm just not sure what would be broken about it.

Other Xbox controllers connect to my PC fine. This controller connects to the Xbox fine. It also connects to this PC fine via Bluetooth.

I can't figure out what would be broken that prevents specifically this controller from connecting to my PC via USB and the Xbox Wireless adapter but does allow it to connect to the Xbox. And also allows other Xbox controllers to connect to the PC just fine.
