xbox controller disconnecting while still on

With both PC and Xbox?...

Are you able to test the controllers with a third device? (A friend's PC, with your phone, a PC in another room, etc)

It's also been happening with my other controller too

I can advise you some things to do on the console:

A. Factory reset the console but keeping games and apps
Go to settings > system > console info > reset and then select keep my games and apps (or if you don't mind, delete everything)

B. Perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.
For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with detailed steps and requirements):

PS: If maybe you're using an insider build / beta OS this could be the reason. In order to do the offline update you need to leave the program and go back to an stable OS version first

i've tried it on my phone and It's the only device that the controller doesn't dsiconnect on

HI, I have the same issue since lately.

I use a Xbox elite 2 for xbox one and pc. Recognized these mini connections errors during mutliple gameplays on pc with my older Xbox one controller.

First I thought it was damaged. but then I changed to my elite 2, same issue.

I can literally see ingame, while buttons are shown, that it switches between keyboard and controller. and the same happens whilst playing. moving... suddenly character stops.... then I push a button... nothing happens, second later it recognizes the button.

This is extremly annoying and a complete game stopper. Dont know if its a win10 kb oder the controllers firmeware.

When I bought that elite serveral months ago, it workeds just fine. currently its unplayable. would say this happens since abround the beginning of september.

It also happens while it is connected via cable!
