XBOX Controller disconnect beyond 1 meter distance from Console

Hi,

I am using a beta Xbox One Console and i am facing an issue with console. My Controllers disconnect when the distance increases beyond 1 meter between console and controller. I have talked to XBOX support and they have asked me to replace the console.

But since this is beta console, would i need to pay for repair/replacement?

After the September update, controller is disconnecting all the time!

After the June update XB1 6.2.12998.0 (xb_rel_1506.150601-2200) the console cannot communicate with the controller at a distance of one meter away from it. Connect only if the right to bring to it. In the care of the console to a small distance, the controller
flashes. Here's an example of what is happening

New Xbox One still having problems with wifi?

Don't know how true it is, but someone said in a youtube vid that the wireless 360 controllers connected via RF and the X1 controllers connected via wifi.

So in a home where the distance from the console to where the gamer was setting was beyond, for example 5 or more feet. The X1 Wifi connectiing the console to the controller was weak which could cause disconnects.

I don't actually own an Xbox One but do know that from 20 feet away, (Farthest away I can actually get) the 360 controller works as good as it would from 7 feet away from the console.

Contact your supplier of the console. If your warranty is still in it's validity time period then you should be fine.

Being a part of the preview program does not guarantee free repair/replacement. If you outside the warranty period then you will have to pay for the service. Good Luck.

Did that and managed to play wireless for about 1 hour with no interruptions and then it started disconnecting again. What is strange is that the disconnecting persists with the controller connected via usb cable. I am maybe 2 meters away from console.
No modem is around only a turtle beach px21head set which is wired as well.
