Xbox Controller Connection Problem

Every since there was a thunderstorm and my controller that was connected to the Xbox electrocuted me I haven't been able to connect it to the Xbox it just blinks for a few seconds and goes off. I've tried syncing it, hard reset, and I even bought new batteries
and cable but it's still not connecting. I also tried it with another controller I own it's the same problem with that also I'm just stuck on this screen showing a Xbox and a controller.

I've talked to several ppl on Xbox support but still no solution it all comes down to a repair costing $159 plus tax which is ridiculous to me I mean might as well buy a new console if you're asking for that price to fix an issue that has been known about
since launch from what I've heard. Is there any solution to this problem or am I just screwed?

Auto download of games that are purchased remotely?

Just checked and the xbox is connected via the wireless, must have forgotten to connect the cable as i always use wired if i can and the router is only a few inches away.

Luckily i don't have a problem with batteries, i have my controller plugged into a USB most of the time.

Will have to borrow another controller and see if i get the same problems

Xbox One controller issue

Hi, I have the same problem, It won't sync though, and USB connection doesn't work either, on both my controllers, XBOX ONE hardware problem?

Hey there!

You heard the answer from Support it seems. The electrical surge is your problem according to them and it isn't covered under the warranty. How you replace it is up to you. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Thank you but xbox is connected direct to electric outlet i think problem is xbox connect to controllers because its hapend with both controlers

or your controller cannot power on?

If your controller cannot power on,

You can try to usb connect, If work, this maybe your batteries problem,

If not work too, you need get the new controller or fix it.

If you cannot wireless connect,

you can try use other controller wireless connect the console,

If can other controller wireless connect is not work too,

this is your console problem,

else, controller problem.

If you have xbox controller wireless adapter for windows,

you can try it

So recently my Xbox wasn’t connecting to the internet at all. The servers weren’t shut down, the Xbox would just not connect to the wifi. The Xbox gave me a notification that it had to do with a problem with the connection of the controller. The
controller would have to be restarted and connect to the wifi. It restarted the controller but it wouldn’t connect to the Xbox. I tried syncing the controller like when I first got it, I tried other controllers, and I even tried using a cable to connect the
controller to the Xbox, yet it still won’t connect.

Other controllers works?
