Xbox controller connected through OTG but picks up no input, I got it working once but now...

i gave up a long time ago with streaming tech, i got the same result on a wired gigabit network and got enough latency to put me off playing like that forever.

be easier to just hook your xbox up to the monitor and play.

I did find a good way of playing without latency but something i didnt want to do in the long run. i would connect as normal to the xbox through the app on pc, but i was in range to the xbox for the controller to pick up, this reduced the input latency to near the same as console.

Hello, I've completely clean-booted my PC and also installed the latest updates (that took 2 hours btw), but still, of course, it doesn't work :[ .

The curious thing is that if I hook the receiver up to my android phone with an OTG cable, the receiver and controller get connected instantly once I hold both sync buttons, but the controller never shows "player 1", as all lights flash on an off.

Any more help, please?

Sorry, that controller can't be connected wirelessly. You'll need to connect it via a cable.

Since all high end Samsung phones now use USB C, you'll need a USB C OTG adaptor.

I also find it hilarious that you've got Wesker listed because of his handgun OTG but don't have Iron Man listed for his smart bombs OTG, Hulk for his Gamma Tsunami and Gamma Wave OTGs or any other character with OTG moves.

When you connect a wireless controller to an Xbox via a cable, it not only works as a wired controller (i.e. the inputs are sent via the cable), it also syncs the controller to that console, so once that's done you can disconnect the cable and use it wirelessly.

I had the exact same issue with an Xbox One X, so I know for certain this works.

So, yeah, hook it up to your console via the USB cable, then once the power light on the controller is solid, just disconnect the cable.

I do not know if it works with other wireless devices, such as headsets, but it definitely works with controllers.
