Xbox controller can't control my tv or dish box

    Xbox controller can't control my tv or dish box


    I've been trying to set up my controller with my tv a panasonic (tcl47e50) and my dish receiver (vip722k) but I can't get the remote codes to work for either of them. I keep trying to send a command and xbox ends up gIvins up on my. I checked the ir on the
    dish box and it's set to 1. So I don't know why it won't work.

    I have DISH Network and am going to use the X1 on my "upstairs" TV, not the TV connected to my DISH network box. This TV usually just gets its feed from the coax cable in the wall and is technically labeled TV2 in the DISH controls. Any thoughts on how
    I can get this TV to be controlled by my X1? Do I have to get an extra box from DISH with HDMI ports so that I can connect it? Any other workarounds? Hopefully my question makes sense...

    I can't change channels with voice or controller it only works with remote control from dish network and tried syncing it and clicking no several times until it makes me skip what should I do? And my tv will turn on when I say on but it won't turn off
    only my consol turns off and leaves my tv on

    xBox One TV Set-Up Communication Issues with Dish Network Network Box VIP612DVR

    I have the dish hopper so I am not sure if it is the same but I had to go into my Dish settings and turn on IR as the dish remote uses another type of interface. Turning it on allows xbox to control you dish box.

    My understanding was that the Xbox is just a passthrough for your TV. The guide on your Xbox One will just be a customized version of what you get on your normal cable box. I have Dish Network. Your remotes use IR to control your cable box and the Xbox has
