Xbox controller battery usage management issue

I have two controllers. A white one that came with the console and a blue one i purchased separately. I use disposable alkaline batteries as recommended. Both were working fine for three months but now the blue one seems to have an issue with its battery usage management. It only works if i put in fully fresh batteries. Even when the battery energy level bar is full when i turn off my controller and come back to it a day later, it won't turn on unless i put in two other fresh batteries. The other controller works fine with the very same batteries untill they are fully drained but the blue one will not turn on unless fresh batteries are used. Let me know how i can fix this issue please.

If was recommended that you only use disposable alkaline batteries, then why does Microsoft sell the official rechargable battery for the controllers.

I have two Xbox consoles in my house and I use the official Microsoft rechargable batteries in the contollers for both consoles.

Hiya!!

If the controller is powering down after just a short period, usually its the batteries. Normal batteries will not give you a long life of usage. I would recommend using the Microsoft plug and play kit which will give you a rechargeable battery and a cord
that you plug into your console and then your controller when the controller is not in use so that your battery will always be ready for game play!

Just like all rechargeable batteries, after long usage and ownership, the battery eventually decreases battery-life span. It also depends on game-play on battery and none-usage contribute too. If you had the battery 2 or 3yrs+ I would suggest buying a
new one for your quick charge kit.

Things to try:

1. Determine the part of the recharging system that may be causing the issue.

Controller

Try AA batteries or try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack in the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to verify that there is nothing wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, the controller is not causing the issue.

Charge cable

Try a different Xbox 360 Play and Charge cable to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different charge cable, the original charge cable is faulty.

Rechargeable battery

a. Use a cotton swab and some alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack and on the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller.

b. Try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, the original battery is faulty.

Regarding your first question you should check your NAT settings and make sure they are open
