Xbox contoller doesn't automaticly connect to my pc

Nothing has changed i am experiencing the same issue. I started to think that getting a xbox bluetooth adapter is the only fix.

Let us go back to this support article and learn everything from scratch to ensure we will not miss a detail that could been the cause of the issue. Support article: Connect an Xbox Wireless Controller to a Windows device | Xbox Support

1. Restart smart device.
   
2. Is your Xbox controller have a working battery?
   
3. Making sure the Xbox Accessories app is installed in your PC and make your controller's wire ready.
   
4. Press the Xbox button on your controller to turn it on.
   
5. Plug your Xbox Wired in your computer.
   
6. If your Windows device can’t detect your controller after waking up from sleep, press the Xbox button on your controller to turn it back on, or unplug it from your device then plug it back in.
   
7. Launch Xbox Accessories app.
   
8. Next, check and install update for controller's firmware from the app.
   

If the basics from the support article did not help, please try these suggested troubleshooting:

1. Install PC updates including Optional Update. Guide - Update Windows
   
   • If you have issues with update, please check the troubleshooting steps available here - Troubleshoot problems updating Windows.
     
2. Please do the update of drivers, guide - update drivers in Windows.
   
   • NVIDIA
     
   • AMD
     
3. Run System Scan
   

In Windows search bar, search for Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.

Copy the command below one line at a time and paste it on Command Prompt:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

SFC /scannow

Sorry for the late response.

What we experience with controllers not reconnected right away to the device is that they need to be re-connected by pairing. It has always been like that; however, the name of the controller is always shown to be part of the recently connected device in your computer.

Is the name of the controller not available on the list of devices when you try to re-pair? Or does the controller have another name? Is there any error message or code?

Do you mind sending a screenshot of the issue? Please conceal any personal information.
