Xbox constantly uploading. Settings > Preferences > GameDVR off

For days on end both my Xbox One consoles are uploading. I have disabled "Allow broadcasts and game captures" and have even unplugged the Kinect in the event that something untoward is happening.

The ONLY time the console stops is when I unplug them, but then when I turn them back on and log in, they start again.

Does anyone have an explanation?

Do you have notifications turned off ?



Xbox guide button (controller) > Settings > Preferences > Notifications > make sure all boxes are ticked.

 

Turn off auto game clip saving?

Go to settings , choose preferences and select to turn off the GameDVR

 

Your console constantly uploads game clips? Like every second it can or is it at random times?

And feel free to correct me if i am wrong but sadly i never heard of this experience. Lets try this power cycle the console, follow my steps below,

One, Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds until it powers down.

Two, Once off unplug the console from receiving power and HDMI for 5 uninterrupted minutes

Three, once done plug it back in and you'll be greeted with a green loading screen just let it sit there after launch any game that can record DVR clips and see if it still persists.

 

I have had DVR clips disabled for years now. In fact my Xbox Profile has no game clips, except for the few from the time I had it enabled.

After following your instructions, the upload didn't resume again until I logged into the console, but without launching any games, but once logged on, it has been going non-stop. I am currently only allowing a single console to be online, until I work
out what it is.

 

For years now? That's tough to resolve, you should've contacted the forums when this first started.

Okay what i want you to do is remove the profile from the console then go to settings - network - network settings - advanced settings - Alternate MAC address - Clear - restart console. Once booted up re-download the profile(s) then test it again.

Another thing you can do is UNCHECK Allow broadcasts and captures. power cycle your console.and CHECK Allow broadcasts and captures.

 

I am at a loss. I wiped the console and re-downloaded just my profile. I made sure that Allow broadcasts is set to Uncheck, Restarted the console and NEVER logged in and for the past week it has constantly uploaded to some Azure address.

I will have to raise an actual ticket with Xbox. Whats my best bet?

It seems is like a you found a weird glitch in the system.

Lets try the OSUDT that will hopefully determine and remove the glitch from the console.
