    Xbox console won't turn on


    Bought this second hand was originally working fine, although I noticed the power brick fan seemed very loud. I reset the console to factory setting which was fine and it came back on asked me to input wireless settings then just turned itself off!

    I now can't get it to power on! The light on the power supply looks constant red to me which I can't find any info on the Internet about! When I try to press the power button on he Xbox it makes the beeping start up noise but no light comes on and it
    doesn't power up. Could it be the power brick? Is it a fault with the Xbox?

    Console won't turn on

    the power supply light is orange and I have unplugged from console but the xbox still will not turn on. you can hear it when you try to turn on but the console won't turn on.

    Xbox console won't turn on

    It could be an issue with the brick or the console. It will be very hard to tell. What I would suggest is to contact phone support for more assistance with it.

    If the console does need a repair you should know that because it is second hand there will be no warranty with it and you will need to pay for repairs.

    Hi Sara, I have tried that as well and still nothing. I keep hearing a buzzing sound when I plug the power cord into my XBox One S, but still no power light. I may have to look into servicing it

    So if your console won't turn on these are the steps to follow first; https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/console-wont-power-on

    EDIT: you may also need to reset the power supply - you can do that here https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/reset-power-supply-solution

    Make sure your powersupply is in a well ventilated area and isnt overheating which might cause it to turn off.

    If it wont work after running through these steps it may need to be serviced.

    Something to note - it's also suggested that your power supply cable should be plugged directly into the wall and not a surge protector/power strip.

    If you're hearing a buzzing noise, it could be the outlet - but to be safe, I would also look into service options.
