Xbox Console on PC launching the wrong game

First time using this service. I download Sea of Thieves and try to launch it from the xbox console launcher and it's launching my Battle.net launcher, lol. Not a difficult work around, I was able to get to it. Just thought it was a bit odd and was wondering
if there was a fix for it?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

Did you download the game from the new Xbox (Beta) App or directly from the Microsoft Store App?

Are you trying to launch Sea of Thieves from the Xbox Console Companion app or from the new Xbox (Beta) app?

Have you fully restarted your PC? You may need to re-install the app that is not launching the game properly running PowerShell with Admin permissions. Give us some more information and we'll see if re-installing the app using PowerShell would be the
best solution.

You can play on Xbox Family console and you can use your controller. But i think the game launch on PC too with the Xbox Game Pass PC.

I maybe VERY wrong but, A Xbox console contoller is different from an Xbox PC controller.

If you purchase an Xbox Pc Controller it will work with PC games that support the configuration.

A normal Console controller is not usable on a PC without the right cable and drivers.........

Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

If I may ask, are you on Xbox or PC?

If you're on PC, quit the game and restart your PC before re-launching and then check again if it will now be visible.

If you're on Xbox, for cases like this what we initially need to do is to quit the game and perform power cycle in that way once you launch the game your in-game data will just re-sync.

Kindly quit the game and follow the steps below before you re-launch the game.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.
