Xbox Console - Halo Infinite - New Game option missing after ending a campaign. Only...

It's really disappointing that XBOX Support offered no help, at least to this point. Hopefully they will continue to pursue this issue. Here is what I received from them yesterday after opening a support ticket:

Thank you for your ticket. At this time, we don't have a workaround and can't predict when there might be a resolution, but your issue has been logged with our developers. They will use the information you provided during their investigation.

If this issue is resolved in an update, we will notify you. If not, your ticket may remain in an open state until a game update. We will check in with you whenever a game update is released to ensure that your issue is still occurring.

If our developers have a question for you or we discover a workaround, we may reach back out to you with questions or steps for you to try. If you discover a workaround yourself, please feel free to send it back to us! We can share that information with other players encountering the same issue and with our developers for further investigation.

If you open a support ticket (if you haven't already, I underlined the link above) maybe there will be enough users reporting this issue to make it a priority. I just want to get back to playing the game and at this point I'm left with a purchased game I can no longer use. Not happy!

Also I can't find a way to remove the online sync content for this game, which I think may be the real problem. Unfortunately, the instructions for deleting online content for other games doesn't work for this one as there is no selection for "Remove/Delete Everywhere" like the utube video shows for some other games. You can only delete local files for this game and when you restart Halo Infinite, it syncs the online files again. Talk about a vicious circle! Ugh!

Thanks for the reply. I have done this multiple times, along with when I uninstall I have also removed the files associated with the game so all remnants of the game have been removed and then I have power cycled the xbox.

I had this problem initially when I used the game pass version of the game, so I purchased the game removed the game pass download and downloaded again, entered the product key and everything was fine. I have played several new games prior to messing with the multi player settings trying to get that working, but since I messed with that the New Game option is no longer available.

Other thoughts? Really would like to get back to the Offline single player game. I noticed in the upper right corner it is loading online and adding me to a fireteam as leader.

When I first started trying to set up multi-player I was able to join the fire team as leader and also able to leave the fireteam, but the option to leave the fireteam is no longer there either. I had hoped that uninstalling and removing local xbox files would resolve the issue but not. each time I start up after a reinstall it does a Sync from online so maybe that is keeping me in this loop? Any idea how to purge the online sync data? Thought that might help but can't figure out how to do that either.... Pulling my hair out( well what's left of it)

Thank you so much for the info John! I have also opened a ticket and hopefully we will get some answers soon. Honestly, I'm glad this isn't just happening to me! If I get an answer, I'll post it here just in case they don't get back to you or others.

I have "power cycled", installed and unistalled the game 3 times now and I still don't get the option for a new game. And yes, I do want a new game as my son is working on his own campaign on our account. Now when I select campain it says "Buy game" when I'm offline, despite the many places on Xbox it says you can play the campaign offline. When I go online, I only get the option to load or continue campaign. This has been a ridiculous experience and is why I HATE downloading games rather than having the actual ****. At lesat when you have the disc you have something to throw when the typcial and constant Microsoft malfunctions occur! So, what fix can you offer now (don't you dare say powercycle or uninstall/reinstall)?

Actually I do want to start a new game though, to practice the many options for going through this game. I want to play the campaign numerous times so I cover the best way to get through it. Without the New game option I can't really do anything with it anymore. I have finished all the tasks/battles, and gone back and forth eliminating as many of the grunts, brutes, and other critters that I could find. Now there just isn't much to do so the New game is something I really want to get back to.
