Xbox console games vs Xbox PC app games

Hi everyone,

I am relatively new to Xbox consoles, I recently got the Xbox Series X (first Xbox console) and purchased the Sniper Elite 4 game on my console to play. After a couple of months I needed to buy a laptop so I did and it came with the Xbox app so I logged in into my account and saw I could play some games on my laptop, which was really cool. I also noticed that I did not have Sniper Elite 4 on the PC Xbox app available to play on my new laptop but I can still play on the console. Having said all that, I was wondering if somebody could explain to me why this happens. I thought that having purchased the game and having the game available to play on PC why cant I play the camping on my laptop? (I currently do not have game pass subscription, not sure if that would change anything)

Only titles that are listed as "Play Anywhere" titles are available to play on both pc and Xbox with only one purchase. If the game is not a Play Anywhere title, then you need to purchase it separately for PC and again for Xbox.

Here you can see the Play Anywhere tag for Sniper Elite 5.

But notice how Sniper Elite 4 does not say the same.

Tried all the things mentioned but still no dice.

I also just installed the xbox app for pc and I am running into the same issue with the Game Pass app not seeing my PC

Only thing i notice is that my account email vs xbox live email account has an uppercase Gmail vs lowercase gmail.

Would this be enough to be causing my issues?

same, I have a couple friends telling me bf3 will SUCK on the xbox because pc has better grphics and plays with more people. Duh, thats how it is with almost every pc vs console game... bf3 will be a good game on xbox.

If the game is different for Xbox vs. PC then it should be the same on GamePass. The Xbox version won't load on a PC.
