Xbox Console Companion streaming is very poor.

As part of the troubleshooting steps, to improve the experience, kindly use an ethernet cable for your console as well as your PC.

The recommended option is to connect the laptop to the router via Ethernet. If that isn't possible consider looking at your router's QoS (Quality of Service) settings which should help with home streaming.

There is some confusion about how this works, please note that streaming Xbox to a PC via the companion app uses your home network. Your internet connection speed (download and upload) has zero bearing on how well the streaming works.

Things that affect streaming:

Distance

Walls

Other networks

Your router settings.

What is a good upload speed to have? Mines 15.25mbs...

You will need a lot of upload to do this thing the right way 😉
