Xbox console companion party not starting

I cannot start nor join any xbox parties on the console companion app for windows 10. No error code is displayed, nor is it a problem with my network or my xbox account (I have tried to create parties on other accounts and it still doesn't work). When
I click "start party" it simply shows the animation of clicking it... then does nothing. I receive party invitations from my friends, but when I attempt to join, it shows a loading sign and does nothing (I have tested, and the loading sign doesn't mean anything.
I have left my pc on with the loading sign still going, and it doesn't change). Nobody seems to be talking about this issue, and your automated service has not been any help to me.

I've had the same problem, and I've found a solution that might work.

If you are using some kind of optimisation software, say, Razer Cortex, that turns off some processes to boost your PC's performance, it might mistake it for a process that is unnecessary, causing it to turn it off.

If you DO have software like that running, try to turn it off, or undo the boost. That's what I found to be the best solution.

Yes, I know that this post was uploaded back in 2019, but i'm just gonna post this anyway, if the guy still hasn't found a solution.

Do the Xbox Beta or the Xbox Console Companion apps crash if you try to use those to join/start parties as well, or is it purely contained to Xbox Game Bar?

your best bet would be to use xbox console companion i've always been having issues with the game bar lately, but with console companion i've yet to have a single issue the only thing is that you have to start the parties otherwise when you join it will
move to gamebar.
