Xbox Console Companion Keyboard Works Roughly 5% of the Time

I use the Xbox Companion App for Windows 10 everyday while I'm playing on my Xbox One S. I use the app as my main chat client for parties since the adapter from my headset to my controller broke. A nice perk of this is that sometimes when I go to type on
my Xbox One S the virtual keyboard will also pop-up on the app on my PC making it quicker to type. The problem I've run into though is that the keyboard seems to work less and less often. I've tried restarting and unplugging the power cable to my Xbox One
S multiple times, restarting my router and modem, restarting my PC, telling the app to "Forget" the Xbox One and re-adding it by IP Address, but none of this has any affect on the effectiveness. Both are running wired, I have the network status for both below.
I've also checked all the settings on my Xbox One S for Device Connections and it's set up to allow connections from any device, and checked the "Typing on Xbox One" section of the app and confirmed it's set to "Yes".

Network Status from the App on my PC is the Exact Same as my Xbox One S:

Internet Connection: Connected

Xbox Live Services: Up and running

Xbox multiplayer:

NAT Type: Open

Server connectivity: Connected

Performance:

Latency: 46 ms

Packet loss: 0%

Is there a repeatable solution for this problem that isn't "Uninstall the Xbox Companion App and re-install it every time you want to use the keyboard"?

this reply does not help because it does not fix the issue of not being able to use the keyboard on PC, because you need to connect the keyboard to the Xbox to make it work. Is there a workaround to make it show up, or is it a lost cause?

Sorry to say but is not possible to disable the on-screen keyboard even if you have a chatpad or USB keyboard connected to your console.

Previously was possible and the option is available in the Xbox console companion app. But this app didn't received updates since the Xbox PC app debuted
So, even if you enable the "hide keyboard" toggle. Is not going to work

Unfortunately disabling on-screen keyboard is not possible anymore.
In the past was possible via the Xbox console companion app but now doesn't work
