xbox console companion- how to stop console companion from displaying what i'm doing

You can change your online Status on PC via the Game Bar. Press and hold the Windows Key and
tap G on the keyboard.

Or with an Xbox controller attached to the PC, access the Game Bar by pressing the
Xbox button.

Depending on how the Game Bar is set up on the PC a number of Windows will be displayed. Showing as Online or Offline is available in the Xbox Social window. To configure the game bar to your liking, press the Overlay Menu, next
to the time. This will allow you to change what Windows of the Game Bar are displayed.

In addition to the above excellent info.

If you install the Xbox (Beta) app, you can also control your Online/Offline status from that. It will leave the app running in the background and you can click on the Xbox Logo in the Taskbar (bottom right, where the clock is) and you can change your Presence
status from there.

This app also lets you interact with over gamers over chat etc

What you are attempting and what you can do are two completely different things

Companion app is for remote play

.not for xckoud

You can only use xbox app or the website.

The error you are getting is because you aren't trying to access a local console

You are trying to do it via the web which already comes with latency issues

Because you are trying to stream it not once but twice

You.can only do what you attempt to do by using a locally installed game or an external program for screen recording

What is going to happen is you are going to lose akot of frames as video capture is going to take a lot of proccessing power away frothe streaming the game from the xcloud

Game.streaming companion app is meant for being a external display for remote display for your local xbox not a cloud service

Well it is working as intended then

I don't think you fully realize what they mean

Progress means cloud saves not dlc

Since dead by daylight isn't a playanywhere title dlc locked to the platform you bought it on in this case xbox

Console companion is a wireless display app

You would need your console nearby and access from your console not the xbox app

If you mean remote play ala xcloud you need xgu not console companion but dead by y daylight is not a xcloud title

You could also use the console companion app to download your videos to your computer, that's what I do... here is a link to the app.
