    Xbox Console Companion can no longer find my Xbox


    I've been using the console companion for a few days now with no problems, except for today. I went to connect to my console and noticed it was no longer connected, and It was also saying It couldn't find my Xbox. I tried to find it using my IP but it said there was no Xbox with that IP and I also uninstalled the app, but no luck. Anyone know a way to fix this?

    This does not answer my question. The XBOX Console Companion app is discontinued/no longer supported. I was asking for where can I find them once the app is no longer available.

    Hi Dxlqn, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    To fix this, kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    Restart your PC as well and make sure that they're connected on the same network connection.

    The Xbox Console Companion app does not work with the Xbox 360, it only works with the Xbox One. If you are using the Xbox 360 smartglass app, that is no longer supported and no longer works with the Xbox 360.
