Xbox Console Companion asking for a PIN, but isn't accepting my current, correct one

Thank you! 3 and 4 was what I needed to do. 3 especially, as I didn't realise how long it's been since I've last updated the dang thing!

First, please avoid providing personally-identifiable data on a public forum.

That said, you mentioned that you are attempting to play Minecraft Bedrock on your PC--if I'm I'm not mistaken, that has a Windows 10 version that should be available for you to download and play from the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store, assuming that the accounts registered to the apps are the same as the one used to purchase them.

Out of curiosity, is there a particular reason you are attempting to launch Minecraft Bedrock from your Xbox to play it through the Xbox Console Companion app on your PC instead?

In the meantime, I would also appreciate additional general information:

1. Which Xbox console model are you attempting to connect to?
   
2. Are all the apps up-to-date? (Get updates for apps and games in Microsoft Store)
   
3. Is the Windows 10 OS up-to-date? (How to Update Windows)
   
4. Have you attempted to use game streaming from the Xbox app instead? (New Updates to Xbox App on Windows 10)
   

Just in case you weren't aware of #4 (and in retrospect, I should have opened with that one), in recent months the Xbox app has seen a few updates, and one of them is the addition of the Remote Play feature. This makes it easier to use your Xbox services and features in one place. If your Xbox app is up to date, then there should be a really small Remote Play option just to the left of your Xbox profile picture in the top right.

It looks like the tiniest Xbox console in the world with little arcs coming off of it to the top and bottom. As a visual aide, I've included a screencap below for you:

I sign in to PC with his account and tried to open MSStore/Xbox launcher with my credentials. It asked for password than for PIN. PIN was not recognized [I am sure this is correct PIN]

Pretty sure this would be a question for xbox support.

But if you wan't to merge the 2 accounts together that is not possible, I have asked that before and it just isn't something Microsoft's account systems can do

If it is just a case of renameing the account over on the xbox to a different gamertag, then on the companion console account change the gamertag so that it frees it up, then on the console rename yourself to the correct gamertag

Hi, thank you for the advice but it specifically is not asking for an Xbox pin, and will not let me enter more than four digits when prompted for my non-existent pin. Whenever it says my pin is incorrect, it explicitly tells me to change my pin through Windows Hello. Everything that is going on here is all on Windows computers. No consoles are involved. I can't get a screenshot at the moment as the computer that's been having the error is currently in use and I cannot get access to it, I will edit this post or reply to it with a screenshot when I am able to get to it. A quick rundown of the situation is as follows:

There are two computers upstairs, one with Gamepass Ultimate, one without

We are trying to put the Gamepass Ultimate account onto the computer that does not have it.

When trying to sign in, the Xbox PC app asks for a Windows Hello Pin that does not exist

There is no possible way to bypass this pin, and no pins work, as no pin exists.

We try logging a different account onto the computer, it asks for another pin that does not exist.

App thinks its a dictionary attack and locks us out of the Xbox PC app

We just want to get my account onto a new computer, that's all we want, but it's asking for login info that doesn't exist
