Xbox Console Companion App will not connect to Xbox

Discus and support Xbox Console Companion App will not connect to Xbox in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; No matter what I do It wont connect.     Xbox Console Companion App will not connect to Xbox


    No matter what I do It wont connect. Both are on the same wi-fi, both are with the same account. But still, no dice.

    I've read other peoples solutions and none of it works.

    I've turned it on and off again, I've done power cycle, I've renamed the Xbox, I've signed in and out of both the app and the console. Nothing works.

    But it gets better, The Xbox companion app likes to pretend it doesn't know my Xbox exists. If I enter in the IP it says "Can't find an Xbox with that IP" AND YET, It displays my Xbox above the IP box and recognizes when I change the name. But won't connect
    no matter what. I'm so done and need help, nothing works. I'm at the end of my wits.

    Yeah, Phoenix_Reins is correct with this, the Xbox console companion app only works with the Xbox One. There is no app that connects to the Xbox 360.

    Are you able to sign in on the Xbox Console Companion App or the Xbox (Beta) app? The Console Companion app has a section under Settings > Network (in the app) that will let you know the network status and if there are any issues connecting to Xbox Live.
    Can you let us know what it says in there?

    Are you logged into your xbox and the console companion with the same gamertag?

    Check that your Xbox One console allows Xbox Console Companion app connections. You’ll find this on the console by pressing the Xbox button  to
    open the guide, going to System > Settings, selecting Preferences > Xbox
    app connectivity    , and then selecting Allow connections from any device.

    You need to stream your console to your laptop (Has to have Windows 10) with The Xbox Console Companion app. Start the Xbox One, then start the Console companion app, then select the connect icon on the left side of the app, and your console should show,
    just select it, and select stream, that will then stream your console to your laptop.
