Xbox Console Companion App: Party Chat issue. Constant Static Sound?

Whenever I try to get into a party with my friends on Xbox Console Companion, they tell me that they're hearing a constant "ear-rape" static sound from my end. They can still hear me talk, my mic is just constantly also broadcasting static. I've tried to
find fixes on the internet, but the one everyone seems to suggest involving changing my recording devices settings from the default to Studio hasn't worked at all, despite other people saying it has worked for them. I'm at my wits end and don't know what to
do about it. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please help.

Try this

Right click sound icon on bottom right, select recording devices, highlight your mic device, select properties, advanced tab, change bit rate to DVD quality 2 channel 16 bit 48000 hz.

To be sure, are you using the Xbox app or the Console Companion App? Party chat has been discontinued for the Console Companion App.

I'm pretty sure that the Xbox Console Companion app is now outdated. You should probably use the new Xbox app.

Is your issue related to using your mic in the actual app or your mic using Game Bar?

Game Bar party chat is much better than the app's built-in party chat and will most definitely pick up your mic.

(You can activate Game Bar by pressing Win + G)

You can also change your default mic in the Settings in the Sound tab.

I got my issue resolved. Short story it sounds like the game bar is end of life. The new app is "Xbox Console Companion"

I had to disable IPv6 so my router did not use Teredo, after that was off if you go into "Start -> Settings" and search for "Xbox Networking" verify your NAT connection, should be Open.

Remove the game bar by opening powershell and running the following command:

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

then open the game store and search for "Xbox Console Companion" install and try party chat again.

the double audio im hearing is coming from the companion app on my pc that im using to stream from my xbox. its not from streamlabs. im getting the audio from my xbox and my pc via the companion app. but im using the companion app to use party chat to
talk. so i cannot mute it because it then mutes the party chat audio and im not able to hear my party.
