Xbox Console Companion App not downloading on laptop.

You need to stream your console to your laptop (Has to have Windows 10) with The Xbox Console Companion app. Start the Xbox One, then start the Console companion app, then select the connect icon on the left side of the app, and your console should show,
just select it, and select stream, that will then stream your console to your laptop.

The default O.S for Chromebook is Chome OS, Xbox Companion App is only designed for Windows 10. What exactly is the device you're having issues with?

Its an HP chromebook laptop. So is my device just completely incompatible with the console companion app or do you think I could download windows 10 and run it through that?

The only way to download the app is from the google app store, if the app is available for the chromebook, which I don't believe it is.

When your PC and XBOX are in the same net, you can stream your console on your laptop via the companion app:

This way your laptop will work as a screen with the net as the only connection (the controller is plugged to the laptop in this case since you controlling everything from there). Since you're looking after fast download speeds, be sure
to connect to the XBOX to launch the download and then disconnect since the stream is taking bandwidth and slowing down everything else. Just reconnect after a while to check progress.
