    Xbox console ban


    We have an Xbox which is used primarily by my eldest teenage son but also by others in the house. Our account and Xbox now have a permanent ban for violating online safety. We have reviewed it and it was upheld with some very vague details why listing the number of possibilities it could be. He claims he doesn’t know why (yeah I know) but as a dad I want to know and as a consumer I feel I have a right to know.

    No previous strikes, no previous suspension they went straight in for a permanent ban.

    Is that it then? Literally game over? Would I have to buy a new Xbox and create a new account? What about the online purchases made on the previous account including downloaded games - are they now lost? That financial loss along with the resale value of the Xbox destroyed without an explanation?

    Is there anything I can do?
