Xbox console ban

I bought an xbox one and have put my account on it but the previous owner must have been doing some sly stuff on the xbox so my question is since the xbox got banned and i put my account on that xbox will that account be banned or i can just buy a new xbox
and use the account on that xbox??? plz help am very worried with this

It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

They are banning people but only until release when the console is unbanned.

 

AFAIK your account will not be banned, as there would have to be reports/evidence of wrongdoing for that to happen and MS are fully aware that some people sell banned Xboxes without letting the buyer know that the console is banned.

I would say you have nothing to worry about, but hopefully an MS employee can confirm that for you and put your mind at rest.
