Xbox connects to network, but not internet. Help!

So over the past year I have been moving quite a bit. I moved out of my parents' place and moved in with a roommate, him and I moved from one house to another, then about 3 months ago I moved in with my girlfriend. My xbox had no issues connecting to xbox
live at my mom's place, my dad's place, or either of the houses i lived in with my roommate, but when I moved in with my girlfriend it would no longer connect to the internet. Every time I try it connects just fine to the network, but not the internet. I've
tried using both a wired and a wireless connection, resetting the modem and the router, turning my console on and off, restoring the network settings to the factory defaults and pretty much everything on the xbox support page. In every instance I get the same
outcome. My girlfriend also has an xbox and it has the same issue (hers is in much better shape than mine and is rarely used). Our laptops and wii all connect to the internet without the slightest problem, and they have good internet speed with minimal lag.
This wasn't much of an issue as my account has been on a silver membership for a while, but i've been playing a lot of skyrim lately (with DLC) and i deleted the latest update on it (planning on reinstalling the update) in an attempt to maybe fix some glitches.
Now unable to install the update, I can't even play the game. PLEASE HELP ME

xbox wont connect to internet

my xbox 360 wont conect to the internet, it can connect to the network but not the internet, it has before but not recently.

please help

hello degeneratePL9. it sounds like you may have a router problem. if its not working for both Xbox's then there's a red flag. try to manually set up the network on your xbox. you can find the routers connection info by logging into it from a computer and
going to the program called CMD.EXE and then typing ipconfig into the black box.

I write in ISP Manually and WAP2 manually... The internet worked fine before but now only network works.. but not internet... i can't restore the internet settings because then it stays gone, to i write it manually in! So how do i make internet work again,
and all my pc'es and other things work fine with internet!

Hey Freedom. i think i know a solution.

1.ReStart you Modem.

2.Clear the cache of your xbox.

Ive tried that and WORKS!.

i only have the primary DNS 192.168.1.1 no secondary and also i tried modem connection and still won't work

I think you should try a modem connection, instead of going through a gateway. A modem is allot "cleaner" than a gateway and other hardware.

Connect your Xbox 360 console directly to your modem instead of connecting it to your router. This is a temporary solution meant to help determine the cause of the problem.

Plug one end of a network cable into the back of your console and the other end into your modem.

Test your Xbox LIVE connection. To do this, go back to System Settings, then select Network Settings, select Wired Network, and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

If this solution worked, your console will connect to Xbox LIVE.
