Xbox connects to live but disconnects itself when going to Video

Just turned on my 360 today to watch some TV episodes I have purchased. I can connect to Xbox Live just fine in the dashboard and have even run several tests with no errors. The problem occurs when I go to the "Xbox Video" tab. It'll load in and only load
the videos I have downloaded and when I check the status of my connection I notice I'm no longer connected to Xbox Live but still signed in to my profile.

It never gives a notification of disconnecting me and it doesn't give any errors if I test my connection. Was there an update that doesn't allow me to connect to Xbox Video anymore from my 360 or is something else going on here?

XBOX LIVE disconnecting

these forums tell you how to connect to xbox live, but I can connect to xbox live, but it just keeps disconnecting. Some times it will disconnect every 10 min and sometimes it will stay connected for 30 min. If I am playing reach online it will disconnect
and it will disconnect when im not playing games.

my xbox live disconnects every ten min and its connected to hard wire and when i try to connect wireless it can find the wireless and shows signal but will not connect yes i know to disconnect wire when connecting wireless

 

Also having the same problem here.

 

One quick thing to add:

If I try connecting to Xbox Live while in the Xbox Video App it just says "Your connection to Xbox Live was lost…" so for whatever reason it just won't let me connect to Live when I'm in that app.

 

Same issue here, but it's when I go to play ANY game. I'm fine on the dashboard, but once I start the game I'm no longer connected to Live, although it never mentioned me being disconnected. If I try to connect to Live again it says my connection has been
lost.

Each time I've tested my connection it has shown no problems either, this is also the first time this has happened.

EDIT: It's also not letting me sign into my profile here either.

 

I am having the same issue. I tried playing Forza 3 and I get disconnected when the game loads. I reset my modem, cleared system cache, and redownloaded my profile, which took for freaking ever. Looks as though there may be an issue with the XBOX Live service
across the board, even though the status says everything is up and running.
