Xbox connects to Internet, but not Live. Tried everything. Please help

My Xbox still will not connect to Xbox Live.

Steps I have tried:

-DMZing the Xbox IP

- Wireless connection & Ethernet connection

- Updating via flash drive (it is FAT32, I extracted the updated files onto the blank root, it doesn't try to update off of it when I restart the xbox and it still wants to use the internet to update)

- Called Centurylink to ask if there was issues on their end (none) she did a power cycle on the modem.

-Port forwarded all 4 ports (even though this has not been an issue before the last 2 weeks)

-Removed the hard drive and formatted the USB to load profiles onto... again running into connectivity errors.

-Cleared cache 3 times, and LB, RB X, LB, RB, X at the storage option to remove recent update

-Switched to a Static IP and tried to get that to work, still had the same issues.

-Moved to a new house and have a new Internet. Still no Connectivity

I would really like to be able to solve this without having to spend 80+ dollars just to have Microsoft people fix it when I could put that money towards a new console. Please help me, anyone.

So i tried t connect to the internet but it didnt let me. I deleted my profile and when i tried to redownload it from x/live it said that profiles cannot be downloaded, at the bottom it said the code
800704cd. Please help!!

 

If you have not yet restored the network settings back to default please do so.

Visit system settings > network > choose wired or wireless > configure network

move joystick to right and you will see reset default network settings

If that doesn't resolve your issue you may need to try another router or look into a repair which you can setup yourself for a discount (if not under warranty) by visiting myservice.xbox.com

 

Same happened to me, my friends said they DCed to. So there's something wrong with Xbox Live right now.

But just restart the console and try to connect again.

 

Unfortunately I have tried all of this. 5+ hours on the phone with customer service has taken me through all of this.

I just moved houses and changed internet providers and have tried the Xbox on my friends router. 3 different providers and 3 different routers, same problem. It's the Xbox.

 

Yes I would say if you have done all that troubleshooting that the console is the issue. Do any of your friends or relatives have a console that you can test on your home connection that would tell us for sure if it is the xbox or not. I would suggest visiting
myservice.xbox.com to see if you are able to setup a repair you will save a little $ over calling support to setup the repair! Good luck!

 

on my system, it says it requires a system update. it also says no update is availiable right now lol. no xbox live available.

 

This is getting stupid. Microsoft seems to cannot correct this problem for months now.
