    Xbox Connection Issues after the update


    Hello fellow Gamers,

    After the April 2019 update I were running into connection errors. My console needed "additional authentification". If you having the same issue, I can give you some tipps:

    1. If you need something to be downloaded, use a hotspot(don't download huge files)

    2. Time heals all wounds. After 4 days of suffering my console was able to connect properly again.

    3. Don't hesitate (only do soft factory resets, if you feel this is needed)also now you have the chance to open your NAT-Typ while " fixing" the problem)

    4. the Xbox-support have multiple Troubleshooting steps where you can see how you solve certain issues, use them!

    5. scroll down the forum to check for similar questions or discussions that have your issue as there topics, maybe you find important information in some side notes.

    That's all advises I can give you.

    Hope you can use your time useful and a big thanks to the Xbox-Support-Team trying to help me and even giving good advises Xbox Connection Issues after the update ;)

    A little addition:

    Everyone using Vodafone and that went trough ever troubleshooting step without success. There is a problem between the new update an Vodafone Networks. Unless we get an update, we cant play for that while :'(

    Hi,

    I have tried to check my network settings like you said but the issue keeps coming. When i load up Halo Wars 2 it will load to the menu section but something will pop up saying connecting to servers which will then fail and the pop up will go to which in
    the top right hand corner a tab will appear saying connecting, connected then disconnected. Here is the screen shot. Thanks for all your help,

    Download speed: 19.08 Mbps

    Upload speed:5.90

    Packet loss: 0%

    MTU: 1480

    Latency: 156ms

    Wireless strength: 94%

    I'm sorry to see any connection issues! We haven't seen many reports of this. Are you able to clarify on when you get the disconnection, and what exactly happens? For example, you launch up the game and then it disconnects you with an error message. If you
    do receive an error message, having a screenshot of that will help out a lot.

    It will also be helpful to take a look at your network set up to ensure there's nothing going on there. We can start with your detailed network statistics, and if I need anything else I'll ask. You can get these by going to Settings > All settings
    > Network > Network settings > Detailed network statistics
    .
