    Xbox connection and date issues


    My Xbox has instant on enabled and when I turned on my xbox it changed the date time and region and it won't let me connect to Xbox live if I change it back and I've restarted several times including restart, full shutdown, power off and unplug for a minute
    and every time it did it changed my date and time to September 2014 how do I fix this and get back online I'm using a wired connection aswell?

    I was connected to Xbox Live and was having no issues. Recently when i was trying to connect to play FiFA is shows only offline i kept on tring Online till to date i couldnt connect to xbox live.

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. Have you tried the troubleshooting for

    connecting the controller wireless    ?

    Make sure windows is fully up to date also.

    My xbox time reset I do not know why. Also, ethernet wont work

    If unplugging the console and plugging it back in does not correct the ethernet and/or date and time issue you will likely need to have it serviced.

    Sept 1, 2014 could be the default date of the xbox, meaning the cmos reset to it's "epoch"., that in connection with a failed ethernet could mean a power spike or system failure. Even if the date does correct, if it keeps setting to the 2014 date you'll
    want to get it serviced.

    I have not had any issue with connecting to the server with MSFS2020 on the Xbox X since the launch date.

    I'm curious as to how you connect your console to your router, WiFi or wired?

    How old is the router your using to connect to XBox Live?

    Most issues I had with Network and updates was because of a out of date router and as soon as I replaced it with the latest available hardware these issues stopped.
