Xbox consoles automatically use the 5Ghz channel if your wireless router uses both channels and only you have 1 wifi network
Could a a glitch in the ATT app

But if you need to double check that, try accessing your router and disable the 2.4Ghz signal

Talk to your isp to adjust your router swrtings

If you use the same name for both networks it will select things by default you bed to configure it

I'm having this issue too. Xbox 360 is connected to the router with ethernet cable, devices are over wi-fi, 5ghz. Nothing will connect, Windows 10 app, iPad 2 app. Application won't run on my iPhone anymore with iOS 11.

The remote play option on the new iOS Xbox app will work wherever you have a signal (Wi-Fi or 5G) and you don't need to be on the same network as your Xbox.

If you are connecting to Wi-Fi, it's recommended to use the 5Ghz band. Especially if you are connecting a controller to your device using Bluetooth.

If not involved in preview, can I ask if consoles are connected wirelessly, and if so, does your router use 5ghz?

It may be that your Xbox one x is utilising a 5ghz Wi-Fi channel, and original Xbox isn't, and this use may interfere with the headphones. I had same issue at first with my turtle beach. It corrected itself when I switched off 5ghz channels on router, I
then switched to a wired connection.

If possible, hookup your offending console with a Ethernet cable to router, see if sound issue persists. If it does, then that's not the issue
