Once you take apart the Xbox, it voids the warranty. So no matter what you do, Microsoft will no longer repair it.

they don't allow self repair help here, but if the Xbox one s is older than a year then what have you to lose as the warranty is up, if the fan is faulty and you are in the UK go down the route of the consumer rights act to get the manufacturer to repair it outside of warranty.

I am a firm believer that we should be able to maintain and repair any goods we have as it reduces the huge amount of waste. manufacturers don't like self repair and maintenance as it hurts their bottom line.

depends on the country, some countries you are allowed to take apart to clean etc and the warranty has to still be valid by law of that country.

Opening the console and removing the sticker will immediately void the warranty.

It would be best not to modify the console by doing it ourselves because one wrong move can make the console not work. Also, if there is a problem it would be best to send it in for a repair especially if it's still in warranty so the service repair team can have it checked for you.

There is no available information in regards to the internal hardware because there is a dedicated team which is the service repair team for hardware concerns.

Do you have Component out on your cable box and Component in on your TV? You could wire up the Component output to the TV so that she can watch without the Xbox One being involved.
