Xbox Companion App (PC) - Game installed on external hard-drive how to add

I installed a game on an external hard drive and am trying to figure out how to play it now through the xbox companion on PC. I don't know how to do this so if anyone knows please let me know. Its very simple and easy to do through steam but apparently
not for this.

yea it doesn't give me the option to add it from the hard drive just my PC, I want to add it from my external SSD

Hi,

you want to play a game you downloaded on your xbox to play on pc because thats not possible you can only stream the game from your xbox to pc

When you play the game, does it automatically show on the Xbox Companion App?

You should be able to open the Companion App and select My Games.

Then at the top you will see an option to add a game from your PC. Does it not show your game?

Screenshots and clips are uploaded on the Xbox network, but if you saved ones to an external hard drive, disconnect that drive.

If you want to export the clips and screenshots from the Xbox network you can do it using the Xbox console companion app on PC

Or the Xbox mobile app
